Veso Golden Oke, representing Nigeria, was crowned Miss Star International™ 2023 on October 15 in Santa Susanna, Barcelona, Spain. This prestigious international pageant celebrates transgender women who exemplify beauty, resilience, and advocacy. The 2023 edition marked the 10th anniversary of the event, featuring 23 contestants worldwide. Veso emerged as the winner, with Erich Alfaro from Australia and Reyna Morocho from Ecuador placing as runners-up.

Veso Golden is a trailblazer for the African transgender community. In 2019, she became the first openly transgender woman to compete in a beauty pageant in Africa. Her historic win at Miss Star International 2023 not only highlights her personal achievements but also serves as a powerful symbol of progress and empowerment for trans individuals globally.

Tiffany Colleman, a Nicaraguan model and systems engineer, was crowned Miss Trans Star International™ 2022 on March 12 in Santa Susanna, Spain. Representing Nicaragua, she triumphed over 27 contestants from around the world, becoming the first Nicaraguan to win this prestigious international transgender beauty pageant. Ivanna Díaz of Mexico and Sofía Colmenarez of Venezuela were named first and second runners-up, respectively. 

Beyond her pageant success, Colleman is a pioneering advocate for transgender rights in Nicaragua. In 2019, she became the first openly transgender woman in the country to graduate with a degree in systems engineering under her chosen name. She is actively working on a proposed gender identity law to promote legal recognition and equality for transgender individuals in Nicaragua. 

 Ava Simões, a Brazilian dentist and model from Recreio, Minas Gerais, won the Miss Trans Star International™ 2019 pageant held in Barcelona, Spain. Representing Angola, she stood out among 25 contestants from various countries, becoming the first Black trans woman to earn this title. Her victory was especially meaningful as it coincided with a year when several major beauty pageants, including Miss Universe, were won by Black women, highlighting a significant moment for representation and diversity. 

Ava's journey to the crown was marked by dedication and resilience. She underwent five months of rigorous preparation, including physical training, skincare, and psychological readiness through therapy. Beyond her pageant success, Ava is an advocate for LGBTQ+ rights and works to break stereotypes, emphasizing that transgender individuals can excel in any profession. She continues to inspire by sharing her story and encouraging others to pursue their dreams without limitations

Kulchaya "Candy" Tansiri of Thailand was crowned Miss Trans Star International™ 2018 on November 3 in Barcelona, Spain. Representing Thailand, she triumphed over 18 other contestants, with Shantell D'Marco of Cuba and Maria Rivera of the Philippines placing as first and second runners-up, respectively. Kulchaya also earned the "Best in National Costume" award, showcasing her elegance and cultural pride. 

Beyond her pageant success, Kulchaya made history as the first transgender winner of The Face Thailand Season 5 in 2019. A graduate in cosmetic science with first-class honors, she has been a vocal advocate for LGBTQ+ rights in Thailand. Her efforts contributed to policy changes at her university, allowing transgender students to wear uniforms aligning with their gender identity. Kulchaya continues to inspire by challenging stereotypes and promoting inclusivity in media and society. 

Biw Kanitnum of Thailand was crowned Miss Trans Star International™ 2017 in Barcelona, Spain, triumphing over 29 other contestants. She became the first Thai winner of the pageant, with Tiana Vasek of Argentina and Elian Nesiel of Israel placing as first and second runners-up, respectively. 

Beyond her pageant success, Biw has been active in modeling and advocacy, participating in fashion campaigns and promoting transgender visibility in Thailand. 

Her victory marked a significant milestone for Thai representation in international transgender pageantry.

Rafaela Manfrini of Brazil was crowned Miss Trans Star International™ 2016 on September 17 in Barcelona, Spain, emerging as the winner among 28 contestants from around the world. Her victory marked a significant moment in the pageant's history, highlighting the growing recognition of transgender beauty and talent on a global stage. 

Beyond her pageant success, Rafaela has been an active figure in the LGBTQ+ community, participating in events such as Baile de Vogue 2018 in Brazil. She continues to use her platform to advocate for transgender rights and visibility, inspiring many with her elegance and commitment to activism

 Vanessa López, a Chilean model and activist, was crowned Miss Trans Star International™ 2015 in Barcelona, Spain, prevailing over 25 contestants from around the world. In addition to the main title, she earned the "Miss Fitness" and "Best Dressed" awards, highlighting her poise and presence throughout the competition. 

Prior to her pageant success, Vanessa gained public attention by participating in the Swedish edition of Big Brother in 2011. Having spent much of her life in Sweden after emigrating from Chile with her mother, she has become a prominent advocate for transgender rights. Vanessa uses her platform to inspire trans youth to embrace their identity and pursue happiness.

Jade Gómez of Puerto Rico was crowned Miss Trans Star International™ 2013 in Barcelona, Spain, standing out among 15 contestants from various countries. Her victory marked a significant milestone for Puerto Rico in the realm of international transgender beauty pageants. The runners-up were Amatista de la Spirella and Fadiana Alves, with Lady Mar GomeZ also recognized among the top finalists.

Beyond her pageant success, Jade has continued to be an influential figure within the LGBTQ+ community, using her platform to advocate for transgender rights and visibility. Her journey and accomplishments have inspired many, highlighting the importance of representation and empowerment in the transgender community.

Lavine Holanda, a Brazilian-born model and fashion stylist, was crowned Miss Trans Star International™ 2012 in Barcelona, Spain. Representing Russia, she stood out among 16 contestants from various countries, earning the prestigious title in this international transgender beauty pageant.

Following her win, Lavine continued to make significant strides in the pageant world, securing the "Best Evening Gown" award at Miss International Queen 2016 in Thailand. Currently based in Milan, Italy, she is pursuing studies in fashion styling and remains an influential figure in the LGBTQ+ community, using her platform to advocate for transgender rights and visibility.

Bruna Geneve, a Swiss-Brazilian model and entertainer, was crowned Miss Trans Star International™ 2010 in Barcelona, Spain, distinguishing herself among 16 contestants from various countries. Her victory marked a significant moment in the pageant's history, highlighting the growing recognition of transgender beauty and talent on a global stage.

Cristini Couto, a Brazilian model and beauty queen, was crowned Miss Trans Star International™ 2007 in Madrid, Spain. Representing Spain, she became the inaugural titleholder of this prestigious international transgender beauty pageant, which was first held that year. The competition featured nine contestants from various countries, marking a significant milestone in the visibility and recognition of transgender women in global pageantry.
